Privacy
Napcar is built so that website AI features run on your machine. By default, prompts and responses never leave your Mac and are never sent to a cloud provider.
What stays local
- Prompts, responses, and any images you provide to a local model.
- Which models you have installed and how you rank them.
- Per-site permissions you grant or deny.
What Napcar records
Napcar keeps a local, metadata-only audit log (origin, task type, model alias, token estimates, duration, success/failure). It does not store raw prompt or response text by default. The log lives only on your machine.
Cloud calls
Napcar-native APIs never fall back to the cloud unless you explicitly allow it for a site. You can also block, warn on, or locally substitute known cloud LLM endpoints.
